Lorenzo Pizarro Jaramillo heads the Dispute Resolution and Insolvency practices at BBG Legal Latam, Colombia.

He has extensive experience in arbitration, litigation and insolvency. He has been in charge of multiple national, international (commercial and investment) arbitrations, as well as important domestic litigation and insolvency proceedings.

He advises national and international clients in various litigations before judges and arbitration tribunals, in the areas of contractual and non-contractual civil liability, renewable energy, consumer, entertainment, advertising, copyright and new technologies, among others. His practice in bankruptcy and business reorganization regimes is also highlighted, representing both debtors and creditors.

He is a lawyer from the Universidad de Los Andes. He has a Specialization in International Business Law from the Universidad de los Andes, and a Specialization in Civil Procedural Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia. He completed an LLM in International Dispute Resolution at King's College London, where he obtained a meritorious degree and laureate thesis with distinction. He is a member of the List of Secretaries of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
